Job Costing with Estimating

The M*A*S 90 EVOLUTION/2 Job Cost application provides you with the ability to
maintain control over your job costs and revenue.  Job Cost, which is
especially suited to general contractors and subcontractors, contains the
flexibility to break down costs at the level of detail that best suits your
job tracking and reporting needs.  Cost information for each job is detailed
by a set of Cost Codes/Types, which you establish in the system.  You may
designate phases, steps, or other cost categories, using up to nine characters
in three segments.  Cost, unit, and budget information is recorded for the
Job-To-Date by each cost category.  With the built-in Estimating program,
estimates may be created and maintained for proposals and bids.  Budget and
estimate variance information will be tracked once a contract has been
accepted.  The Job Billing feature is used to select jobs to be billed, enter
or adjust billing information, and print customized invoices.  The Job Cost
system will also track cash receipts and retention amounts.  Job Cost may be
used on a stand alone basis, or may be integrated with the following M*A*S 90
Evolution/2 applications:  General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts
Receivable, Payroll, Inventory Management, and Purchase Order Processing.
